Uniform can be bought or ordered from the school office. Download an order form here complete and return, together with the relevant payment, to the school office and we will advise you when the order is ready for collection.
Or you can order directly from Tesco, and the School will receive a 5% Tesco Uniform Embroidery service donation .
At Southwater Junior Academy we expect all children to wear school uniform as it is one way in which they can have a sense of identity and belonging.
We ask that all items are clearly named.
White polo shirt with red sweatshirt.
Grey skirt, trousers or culottes.
Black, grey or white socks/tights
As above plus red and white checked dresses
Girls may wear Red or Grey tights
Shoes should be suitable for school wear enabling your child to play safely at playtimes. Therefore shoes must not have high heels or wedges. Children should not wear trainers to school.
Winter - Black shoes (boots may not be worn in school)
Summer - Black shoes or sandals (sling backed shoes or sandals are not acceptable)
Red, yellow, blue or green T-shirt
Black sports shorts, black cycling shorts or black skort (skirt with shorts)
Red or red & black rugby shirt
Red school hoody
Black jogging bottoms
Plimsolls (indoor/outdoor), trainers (outdoors.)
An art aprons or old shirt. (The more they cover the better!)
No jewellery should be worn to school. If children have pierced ears only gold studs should be worn, no other kind of earrings are allowed. Studs must be removed during all PE lessons.
Watches not to have alarms or alarms silenced
Hair - Shoulder length hair should for safety and hygiene reasons be tied back from the face. Extremes of fashion are not acceptable and hair should be of natural colour. Boys hair should be cut no shorter than a no 2.
