COVID-19 response- info for key workers
During this period, the Southwater Junior Academy continues to be open for provision for vulnerable pupils and children of key workers in our “Key Worker School” provision.
If you require a place at “Key Worker School” for your child(ren), please notify us in advance by emailing email@example.com, giving us as much notice (ideally 1 week in advance) as possible. Please cite the following in the email subject header “Key Worker – [CHILD’S NAME] – [CHILD’S YEAR GROUP]”.
We are also asking key worker parents to bring proof of their key worker status with them when dropping their children off at school. We understand that, by now, employers will have written to those parents for whom ‘key worker status’ applies, confirming this is the case.
To remind key worker parents, we are able to accept children in ‘Key Worker School’ if you satisfy the Government definition which can be accessed here:
Irrespective of any partial closure or collaboration with another school, the safeguarding of all our children remains our top priority. At this time, SJA will continue to support our vulnerable children. We urge parents of vulnerable or key worker children to consider our “key worker school provision” which is available for all eligible pupils.
If you have any questions regarding the above, please make contact with the academy office: firstname.lastname@example.org
